Pre-Registration
Our pre-registration staff attempts to contact by phone all patients
prior to their visiting our locations to assess their medical backgrounds
and to facilitate a test that will be accurate, safe and as beneficial
as possible. They attempt to collect as much medical information from your managed care company as possible prior to your visit to provide benefit information from the insurance company and any payment responsibilities.
Your
cooperation in giving this information will help ensure that the correct
test is performed.
Technical Staff
Skilled technologists service patients who undergo diagnostic imaging examinations
at Diagnostic Imaging Services. All of our Radiologic (x-ray) technologists
are certified by the AART (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
and LSRT (Louisiana Society of Radiologic Technologists). Our sonographers
are credentialed through the ARDMS (American Registry of Diagnostic Medical
Sonographers) and many have received advanced certification in Vascular Imaging.
Many of our technologists are trained and/or certified in specific technologies,
including computed tomography (CT), ultrasound, mammography, general x-ray,
bone desitometry, and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). All of our mammography
technologists are fully licensed and credentialed as well as have updated
in their continuing education units in order to perform mammography examinations.
In addition to their technical expertise, our staff is committed to providing
personalized, compassionate service in order to make your experience with
DIS a pleasant one.
Transcription
After a radiologist interprets your examination, a detailed report of the findings
will be prepared by one of our many transcribers. Our commitment is to have
a finalized report delivered to your physician's office within 48 hours after
the exam is completed so that this information will be available to your
physician. (At times, however, there may be a reason preventing the report
from being sent out within 48 hours. For example, there may be a delay in
retrieving films from another facility needed to compare for a diagnosis.)
Please make arrangements with your personal physician's office for a time
to reserve and discuss the results of your test(s).
